Muntazar Monsur

Muntazar is a Design-PhD student at the College of Design in North Carolina State University and works as a Research Assistant at the Natural Learning Initiative. He has received both his Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture from Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is appointed as a Lecturer in the same institution from February 2007 and currently on his study leave. His previous experience of research involving children’s environment includes a study on the relationship between street design and independent mobility of children in Dhaka, which he finished in 2011 as a part of his Masters Dissertation. Muntazar has also worked as an Assistant Architect in the Bureau of Research, Testing and Consultation (BRTC) in BUET from 2007 to 2011 where he was involved as design team member in numerous architectural projects. His key research interest is to explore the relationship between design and children’s behavior and in present, he is focusing on how the relationship between indoor and outdoor environment may influence activity and behavior of children.
