Division of Child Develoment Regional Trainings

Since April the NLI team has provided regional trainings for more than 200 Licensing Consultants and Environmental Rating Assessors statewide. These trainings provided the Division of Child Development staff members who attended the trainings with an opportunity to see outdoor settings with a more naturalized approach and to learn more about the research supporting the use of the naturalized built environment. The most recent training took place in Greensboro and featured tours of child care centers that were part of the Preventing Obesity by Design (POD) initiative.
